KNOW GOD

 AND MAKE HIM KNOWN

It is a part of a movement within the universal church called convergence worship. Cathedral of the King is a home for those who are seeking a church whose worship is fully charismatic, fully evangelical, and fully sacramental and liturgical. We are a communion of local congregations made up of people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and nations, who are worshiping and serving the Lord Jesus Christ in various ways and ministries.

OUR VISION

The founding vision is to "make visible the Kingdom of God to the nations of the world; to bring the rich sacramental and liturgical life of the early church to searching evangelicals and charismatics; to carry the power of Pentecost to our brothers and sisters in the historic churches; and finally, to provide a home for all Christians who seek a catholic, evangelical, charismatic church and a foundation for their lives and gifts of ministry."

A SHORT MEMO FROM TODAY'S

DAILY OFFICE SCRIPTURES:

Friday, March 31

“No Legal Separation in the Kingdom of Heaven”

Romans 8: 35:  “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”  It is commonly thought that if someone is naked, starving, or being run through by a musketeer, the love of God is already long gone from him.  But, as St. Paul mentions in v. 17, we suffer with Christ before we are glorified with Him.  Rather than being things which separate us from Christ’s love, they are used by God to conform us into His image (v. 29).  That’s the real meaning of v. 28, one of the most misquoted and misunderstood verses in the Bible.  The good God seeks is Christ in us.

Insights for living:

A thought

from Sunday's homily:

The blind man in today's gospel (Jn 9) followed a very basic principle (which my mentor taught me 30 years ago): obey first before you complain or require God to make you see and understand. Jesus anointed his eyes and sent him and he, still without sight, went. Only after he obeyed did he begin seeing and his obedience made him a powerful witness.

Do you believe you are being sent but feel anxious or even resentful because you do not see clearly or not at all, and God doesn't seem to notice or care? May we have the faith of the blind man - quick to hear and comply, and slow to speak and complain. And trust that God knows what He is intending to do.

The theme for this Sunday is “Love of the Works of God”. Can you feel how rich and full it is to just ponder upon that today? When we talk about the “Works of God,” it should fill us up with tremendous enthusiasm, because what the Lord does in our lives every day is that vibrant and perfect. So before you continue to read on, I ask you take a few minutes to immerse and bask yourself in His presence, and thank Him for the great and mighty works He has done.
