"Purity of Confession"

In this day and age, life has become so fast paced! Each morning as early as 5 am you see crowds of people rushing to get a ride to work, to school, to airports, all wanting to reach their day’s task on time. Even before the sun rises, bringing joy with its radiance to the world and all creation, people are already so busy and all in a rush! And this continues throughout the day. No wonder people are so cranky, short-tempered, and impatient. Man has no more time to sit down each morning and listen to what our Father has to say, no more time to appreciate the beauty of Creation: the shining sun in the morning, with the bright, blue sky as its background, accompanied by the morning breeze blowing through your face. See its purpose: to refresh us within from yesterday’s tiring work. It’s there to put a smile on our faces despite the loads of responsibilities, thus renewing our inner strength and enabling us to spend another day doing that which the Father has for us to do. His mercy is new every morning!

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of this world, James 1:19 reminds us to “be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger.” If we start our day so jittery, chances are our whole day will be just as intense and agitated. A small problem presented to us will be magnified in our sight. We then are easily irked, and we blow up!

Again James 1 tells us in verse 20 that “... the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.” And James continues, reminding us to put aside all filthiness and wickedness but with all humility, to receive the WORD of GOD implanted in our hearts! He again tells us to be doers of the WORD, not just hearers. As Christians, our lives should be a daily walk with our Savior. As we have heard the WORD, let it be seen in our lives: the way we dress, the way we style our hair, the way we move, the way we speak. Let our lives preach who JESUS is. How do you start your day in the morning? Do you say a simple prayer when you wake up? Do you make time to read the verses of the day? Let us do so, and receive His morning mercies all day long!
