John 15: 12, 13: “This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”
Jesus says we have to love one another. Problem; I don’t love that batch of believers down the street. Solution: Claim they aren’t really believers, certainly not my friends, so I don’t have to love them. Rebuttal: You don’t really believe that. do you? If Jesus’ resurrection is our resurrection, then His love is our love.
