Tuesday, January 30: “God Intentions X”

Hebrews 11: 16: “But as it is, they desire a better country, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.”

In over twenty years of writing a new MDR for each day’s scriptures, this will be something I’ve never done. But on this, her special natal day, I want to lift up my wife and partner for life, Marilie, as an example. Most anyone in her situation would say, “Gary, with your passport, we can move to a more progressive country, and leave this place.” Never once did she do so, although I’m sure she was tempted. Never once. She knows the city for which she is bound; meanwhile, she is happy in the place the Lord intends for her at the moment, wherever that is. Happy birthday, beloved darlin’ o’ mine!
