“Sez Who?”

John 16: 12-15: “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth … He shall take of Mine, and shall disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said, that He takes of Mine, and will disclose it to you.” Yes, Jesus left the disciples with an incomplete revelation, but God the Holy Trinity implemented a way to deal with that. The things which the Son received from the Father, the Holy Spirit now takes and shares with us. But notice this only comes from the Father through the divine “supply chain.” Much “supplemental revelation” out there today is never claimed to have been received from the Holy Spirit; many of these self-proclaimed divine messengers do not even believe in Him. No, they say it comes from an angel, or one of a myriad of other sources. Not good enough! Unless the word is affirmed by the speaker as coming from the Holy Spirit, and proclaims Jesus as Lord (1 Corinthians 12: 3), be wary!
