Psalm 55: 6, 7: “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest. Behold, I would wander far away, I would lodge in the wilderness.” How often we wish to flee from the battle, to run from conflict or things we deem improper. But those are often the times the Lord needs us right where we are. If so, taking flight will not bring us to a place of peace, but to the wilderness, which is the home of the rebellious (Psalm 68: 5). Rest is found in God’s presence, not "lipat bahay".
