“Why Ask Why?”
Hebrews 8: 5: “… who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, just as Moses was warned by God when he was about to erect the tabernacle, for, “See,” He says, “that you make all things according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.’” There is always a good reason for every command God gives us, and that good reason is the best reason, the only reason needed, for our obedience. More often than not the Lord never tells us the reason. He just expects obedience without reasoning. Moses had no idea that what he was building was a copy of the tabernacle in Heaven. What if he had said, like many of us do, “Sobrang mahal!” or “There’s an easier way.” But Moses obeyed to the letter, and the result was a “true copy”, a “perfect shadow” of Heaven’s economy, and God had the witness He needed to effect salvation.
