“King’s Job Description”

Psalm 72: 4: “May he vindicate the afflicted of the people, save the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor.” This should be the focus of the king: to help the oppressed, and deal with the oppressor. It is not to make the rich richer, or the strong stronger at the expense of the weak. When King Solomon, the writer of this psalm, was following this pattern he succeeded. So, in the end, will every leader who has this in his heart.
