“One More Healing”

Luke 28: 51: “But Jesus answered and said, ‘Stop! No more of this!’ And He touched his ear and healed him.” As in last words, which are considered the most important of a person’s life, here is Jesus’ last recorded healing - a healing of a man’s ear. Does this not tell us the importance Christ places upon our listening to and hearing Him? Remember, the whole reason the man’s ear was injured was because the disciples asked a question (Shall we strike with the sword?) and never waited for Jesus’ reply before striking. May we be those who listen before acting, and those “who have ears to hear” the words of the Lord. (Matthew 13: 9)
