“Certain Disciple”

Acts 9: 10: “Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and the Lord said to him in a vision, ‘Ananias.’” Luke merely calls Ananias “A certain disciple.” Not a great apostle, or a leader of the brethren, or anointed disciple, or any other fancy title. Yet this “certain disciple” exercised the spiritual gifts of prophecy, healing, and impartation of the Holy Spirit. In so doing, he changed the direction of world history in a few minute’s time. God give us more “certain disciples!”
