“Lively for a Reason”

Psalm 92: 12a,14, 15a: “The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree … They will still yield fruit in old age; they will be full of sap and very green, to declare that the Lord is upright.” Yes, the elderly still have a song of praise to sing, and as long as they sing it, they are full of sap. But those who lapse into criticism and cynicism become old and sedate, whether their years are many or few. From beginning to end, we are meant for joyful praise!
