“Prayer Watch”

Mark 14: 38: “Keep watching and praying, that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” This was not only important for the disciples as they were keeping watch in Gethsemane, but for each of us, every day. Why else would Jesus command us to ask it in our daily intercession (The Lord’s Prayer)? Let us not follow our weak flesh into temptation, but be delivered from the evils of weakness, sloth, hardness of heart, and selfishness, as our spirit desires.
