“Source of Help”

Psalm 20: 2: “May He send you help from the sanctuary, and support you from Zion!” We say that our help is from the Lord, and that is true. But often God uses people, and here in this psalm, He shows us that He uses the sanctuary and Zion (His Church) as the primary source of His help. If a Church is really the Church, they will be known as a source – not of just a handout, anyone can do that, but as a source of true, divine help. That’s why we’re here; in community, we help.
