1 Corinthians 1: 27, 28: God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things that are strong, and the base things of the world, and the despised, God has chosen the things that are not ...” A stable instead of a royal nursery? That’s base. Home-schooled instead of educated by the scribes in Jerusalem? That’s foolish and despised. A carpenter instead of a priest? That’s weak. A virgin for a mother? That’s things that are not. And yet God used all these things to save mankind and bring us back to Himself. It’s His doing, His wisdom. And it’s all in a man called Jesus.
