“Tough Choices”

Matthew 10: 37: “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me, and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.” This doesn’t always mean that we opt for the Church activity when it conflicts with a family dinner. It may mean sharing with the family member about Jesus when we’d rather keep silent to avoid conflict or keep on their ‘good side.’ Sometimes the best witness is given that way. Bottom line: Whom do we obey and follow? (And young folks, obeying Jesus means obeying your parents!)
