“This May Sting Just a Little Bit …”

1 Corinthians 15: 56: “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.” Whenever the nurse gives you an inoculation, she warns you that it might sting a bit. Not searing pain, not seething agony, just a bit of a sting. That’s the way it is with death – after Christ’s resurrection, that is. It is swallowed up, because faith, revealed in the resurrection, is victorious over the pseudo-power of the law. Through this faith, victory over sin and death is ours!
