“To Whom It May Concern …”

Revelation 1: 11: “Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven Churches ….” Why only seven Churches? There were (and are) a lot more Churches than that! In biblical symbolism the number seven represents perfection and completion in quality (as opposed to quantity, which is represented by the number ten). But as you read the letters, it is obvious that only a couple of these churches are anywhere near perfect or complete. This is Jesus’ statement of mercy, grace - and faith! He sees what He sees, but He also knows what will be!
