“Test Result: Pure!”

Psalm 17: 3: “You have tested me and find nothing; I have purposed that my mouth will not transgress.” Of course, this is different from the famous baseball player who, decades ago, had an on-field injury and resultant visit to the emergency room that produced the headlines, “X-rays of Dean’s head show nothing.” The Lord was testing David’s heart. And if you, too, want to get such a positive test result from the Lord, the best place, the only place to start, is with your mouth. As the saying goes, “Where words are many, sin is not absent.”
