“Faulty Teaching”

Genesis 3: 3: “From the fruit of the tree which is in the Garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, lest you die.’” People blame Eve for getting God’s instructions wrong ((nowhere did God ever say, “Don’t touch”), but take a closer look: That instruction was given to Adam alone, before Eve was created. It had been Adam’s job to pass it on to Eve, and it seems he failed to teach it accurately. So, while Eve is not off the hook (She didn’t just touch, she ate), Adam has to share the responsibility. Teachers of God’s Word, take warning!
