“Companion Gospel”
John 8: 32: “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Why is John 8: 32 the Gospel for today’s Feast of the Presentation of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Temple? Remember the words of Simeon, “Lord, now set your servant free to depart in peace, according to Your word.” That’s exactly what happened that day in the Temple, and it’s exactly what happens in our lives when we abide in Jesus’ word as His disciples – His truth makes us free!
