“Slow Death”

Genesis 27: 41: “… Esau said to himself, ‘The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob.” Isaac was, indeed, over one hundred years old at this time. Surely, death was near. Except Jacob left town and was gone for at least fifteen years, probably a good many more, and when he returned, Papa Isaac was still alive and kicking. Just because man, especially the doctor, says your time is up, doesn’t mean your time is up. In Isaac’s case, he lived to the age of one hundred eighty. At the time they were predicting his death, his life was barely half over!
