“What Way Is That?”

Romans 14: 18: “He who serves Christ in this way is acceptable to God and approved by men.” We all want to know: What is this way to serve Christ that will make us acceptable and approved? Feeding the poor? Evangelizing the earth? Kicking the devil’s kiester? Noble feats all, but, as always, look at the context! St. Paul’s constant exhortation to the Romans in this entire chapter is to refrain from judging one another, and next he says to build up one another, rather than tearing down the work of God. That would be acceptable to God, (and would probably shock not a few).
