“Champion Weeper”
Genesis 46: 29: “Then Joseph went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel; as soon as he appeared before him, he fell on his neck and wept on his neck a long time.” As we learned Monday, there are many in the Bible who wept because of sorrow, but Joseph was a master weeper in times of joy. On no less than nine occasions - nine joyful occasions - we see him break out the crying towel in serious fashion. It just goes to show, not only do all God’s children grieve in our own way, we get happy in our own way, too.
