“Before the Fact”

1 Samuel 2: 6; 10b: “The Lord kills and makes alive; He brings down to Sheol and raises up. … The Lord will give strength to His King, and will exalt the horn of His anointed.” Some of the greatest prophets in the Bible were women. Mary, Elizabeth, Huldah, … and one certainly cannot rule out Hannah. Here she is prophesying the death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ, and talks about Him being an exalted King, long before Israel even had a king. But do you think even she suspected that this boy whom she was dedicating to the Lord would become one of the greatest types of that King?
