“Pasaload”

Numbers 11: 29b: “Would that all the Lord’s people were prophets, that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!” Here, in spiritual type, is the fulfillment of Christ’s Ascension into heaven. As He had promised, when He went away he would not leave His people comfortless, but send His Spirit to continue the job He had begun. Filled with that Spirit, no longer ‘upon’ but ‘within’, God’s people now carry on with the work of Jesus.
