“Courage to be Wrong”

Psalm 51: 3, 4: “For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done what is evil in your sight, so that You are justified when You speak, and blameless when You judge.” Of all the times when courage is necessary, among the most difficult to muster it is when we need to own up to our own sin. It takes moxie to admit we’re wrong, before God or men, but it’s the only way to be free from guilt and self-deception.
