“Chain Reaction”

Hosea 2: 21-22: “And it will come about in that day that I will respond, declares the Lord. I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth. And the earth will respond to the grain, to the new wine, and to the oil, and they will respond to Jezreel.” These days everyone is rightly concerned about inflation, especially when it comes to food prices. Supply and demand is identified as the culprit, so why is supply low, and how can we increase it? Perhaps we should first look to the “Lord of the Harvest.” As Hosea shows here, when we respond to God as our husband (vv. 19, 20) He will respond to us and all creation will respond to Him. The answer isn’t with government policy, it’s ultimately with Christian response.
