“God of Action”
Psalm 105: 16: “And He called for a famine on the land; He broke the whole staff of bread.” This is the psalm of ‘God in action.’ Starting with verse sixteen it mentions twenty different actions of God in bringing His children out of Egypt. He called … He sent … He spoke … He gave … He brought. But it all began with one great action, “He remembered” (v. 8), when the people cried out to Him and “He heard” (Exodus 2: 24). Going deeper, it was all initiated from God’s greatest action of all: “He loved.” At the root, it’s God’s love that makes any change in man and his society possible.
