“Jealous?”
Romans 10: 19: “At the first Moses says, ‘I will make you jealous by that which is not a nation, by a nation without understanding I will anger you.’” As St. Paul says, quoting Moses in Deuteronomy 32: 21, Israel as a nation missed out with God because, instead of rejoicing over God’s acceptance, favor, or blessing of another, in jealousy they made them their enemy. So, does that type of reaction stop with Israel? Sadly, no; the root of much conflict and division today is jealousy. But it can all turn around, as soon as all God’s children wake up and realize that with God, it’s not ‘us and them,’ but ‘we.’
