“Large and In Charge”

Daniel 4: 25b: “… seven periods of time will pass over you, until you recognize that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind, and bestows it on whomever He wishes.” Is there a dichotomy here? Israel is in exile under Babylonian rule, yet their God claims to be ruler over all mankind? No dichotomy at all, because Nebuchadnezzar was placed there by God to fulfill His purposes. He is not running for Ruler on May 13, and Jesus isn’t running for Lord in 2020. They’re already in power, whether we realize it or not, and that will never change!
