“Workin’ for da Man”

Colossians 3: 22, 23: “Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men.” Having a bad day at work? Yeah, it happens. But before playing the blame game, remember who sits in your boss’s chair, I mean throne. The Lord of your life (and of your workplace) arranged that impossible task, that irritating co-worker, that conflict in schedule – perhaps, all to give you a chance to overcome, to shine, and to do it in humility and love. So get to work - and don’t forget to thank your boss!
