“Vaporous Life”

James 4: 14: “Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.” No, of course you will live forever, in eternity. It’s just your earthly footprint that will melt away faster than a heartbeat, with very few sterling exceptions. Rather than spending time and effort on a costly monument to perpetuate any imagined greatness you may possess, it’s better to leave behind lives touched by the truth, generosity, and love of God. That’s the only way you’ll ever be remembered – the only good way, at least.
