“Does ‘All Saints’ Include You?”

Psalm 149: 4: “For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.” On this Feast of All Saints we remember, in the Gospel and other readings, how the true saints of God suffered various afflictions. But we also remember their rewards—God’s deliverance and salvation; and as this verse reminds us, these things are for all his people. No wonder the psalm begins with “Praise the Lord!” Or, better said, “Hallelujah!”
