“Special Messenger”

Matthew 22: 31: “But regarding the resurrection of the dead, have you not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying …” Both Luke 20 and Exodus 3 make it clear that those words in question were spoken by God to Moses. This was 1500 years before Jesus’ audience was even born. But, as it says in another MDR reading for today, God “sent and communicated [the revelation] by His angel to His bond-servant.” God’s chosen mouthpieces, Moses or John or your pastor, are angels (messengers) called to speak from God to you. Give them a little respect!
