“Gift of Encouragement”
1 Kings 19: 10b, 15a, 18a: “’The sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant … and I alone am left, and they seek my life to take it away.’ And the Lord said to him, ‘Go, return on your way … Yet I will leave 7000 in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal.’” Why does Christmas come at the beginning of the year? To remind us that throughout the year ahead, even when we go through challenging or depressing times, the Lord will still there to help us overcome. We are never alone when walking with Christ; that’s what Immanuel, God with us, is all about!
