Day 28: Spiritual Food in Quarantine

Holy Saturday

Today is Holy Saturday. Jesus was buried and on this day laying in a tomb. The day before saw the height of injustice: the One innocent Man killed in the most unimaginably inhuman way. No one could understand why it had to be. Even Jesus, as He was going through that extreme human experience, expressed mankind's anguish and feeling of abandonment.

This global pandemic makes us feel entombed, helpless, hopeless and forsaken and question God's goodness and concern. Why does He let such things happen? The short answer is nobody knows. But in the midst of such imprisonment and seeming forsakenness, we learn to say, "Into Your hands I commit my life" knowing we will get through it with His help, and look with hope to the other side.
