“Long Time Coming”

Exodus 13: 19: “And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had made the sons of Israel solemnly swear, saying, ‘God shall surely take care of you; and you will carry my bones from here with you.’” For 430 years the Israelites had kept Joseph’s bones in a coffin unburied, because he had made them promise to inter him in the family plot in Canaan. And after the forty-year Exodus was completed, they did just that. It might not take 470 years for you to receive God’s promise. But even if it does, you can be sure He will fulfill it!
