“No Mere Wish”

1 Peter 1: 3: “… Who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a new and living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” Wishing is very popular in today’s culture. Wishes are based on putting a coin in a well or finding the first star of the evening. They are based on the authority of a cartoon cricket. Christians have something infinitely greater: A hope that is based on the resurrection of Jesus. Who do you want backing you up; Jiminy Cricket or the living Christ?
