“Listen and Believe”

John 5: 24: “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him Who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.” In the midst of life we are in death; in the midst of death we are in life. With the specter of death seemingly all around us in these days, we need to hear and remember these words of Christ. If we believe in the Father, we have life. And what are the words of the Father? “This is My beloved Son; listen to Him.”

 

Tuesday, August 18: “Of Vaccines and Glory”

John 5: 44: “How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another, and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?” It’s amazing how many posts and news reports are out there that claim some group or someone is “so close” to finding a cure to the virus. Yet they seem to be more concerned with receiving glory (and cash) from their efforts than alleviating suffering. When God’s purposes are fulfilled and this current pandemic is ended, it will be He Who gets the glory, and all will say
