Ephesians 1: 5, 9, 11: “according to the kind intention of His will … according to His kind intention … according to His purpose Who works all things after the counsel of His will….” Blessed with every spiritual blessing. Predestined to adoption as sons. Redemption, forgiveness, an inheritance, and the Holy Spirit: all for us! And yet, not all about us. God’s spiritual gifts are given with the intention—His kind intention—to work out the things of His Kingdom according to His will. In love, yes. Kind, yes. But above all, to fulfill His purpose. That’s what 2021, and every year, is all about.
