“Surely I will not enter my house, or lie on my bed, or give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.” (Psalm 132:3-5)
Using hyperbolic language, King David strongly expresses in Psalm 132 his uneasiness in living in a cedar mansion while the people of God worship Him in a temporary tabernacle. He shows an intense desire to build a temple for the Lord.
We are currently constructing a building to be the home of Cathedral of the King. I am immensely thankful to be the pastor of a community of people who have the zeal of David for the house of the Lord that consumes them. Not only do they heartily participate in the completion of a physical structure in which to worship, they're also enthusiastic in building up His spiritual temple, the Body of Christ. I consider it a tremendous blessing to shepherd such a parish and to be entrusted with such a historic project of love ad majorem Dei gloriam.
