Friday, September 6:  “Christ the Redeemer”

Job 19: 25: “As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will take His stand on the earth.” Fans of Eschatology will want to note that “at the last” Job’s Redeemer will be standing on earth as Lord of all, ruling and reigning over and with His saints. Further, the act he expects from his Redeemer (Vindicator, Defender, Kinsman) is not just deliverance from his unjust suffering, but also from guilt and judgment. And that Redeemer, dearly beloved, is none other than our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
