Luke 11: 2:“And He [Jesus] said to them, ‘When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come.”’” More than an expression of worship, ‘Hallowed be Your Name’ is a cry of intercession that God’s Name be hallowed, which means ‘respected, revered, loved, and obeyed.’ When that happens His Kingdom comes, for this is the essence of that Kingdom. That’s why Jesus made it the foundation of every prayer we pray.
