“Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” “I am willing; be cleansed." (Matthew 7:13-14)

The Israelites, the very people of God, did not know Him. This is probably because He was misrepresented by their reproachful, morally condescending religious leaders who told them their sorrows were God's punishment. But when they encountered Jesus, they tasted and saw the goodness of their Lord. And they realized He doesn't afflict people with sickness and pain but delivers them from those things because His will is that they have fullness of life.

As ambassadors of the kingdom of God, let us see to it that He doesn’t get a bad rap because of our conduct and be careful not to give anyone occasion to blaspheme, but manifest the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place to every person.
