Monday, December 2: “Isaiah Speaks to the Nations: Day II”
Isaiah 1: 15: “So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; yes, even though you multiply prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood.”
The people of Isaiah’s time seemed very spiritual when it came to religious festivals. However, he called them rulers of Sodom and people of Gomorrah (v. 10) and here, we see why. The blood of unborn children and innocent victims of extrajudicial killings do not just magically disappear at festival time. As Isaiah, John the Baptist, and Jesus all preached, before you party—repent!
