Monday, January 29: “God Intentions IX”

John 6: 37, 40: “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out … For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

God did not send His Son to judge, curse, and destroy a hopeless situation, a failed creation called humanity. Such is not the definition of redemption. The Father’s intention, fulfilled in the Son, is to restore the life of the world through His own sacrifice. Such an investment made, such a price paid, indicates not anger, but love; not the final end, but an eternal beginning.
