Monday, October 2: “Revival of Focus”
1 Corinthians 7: 31: “Those who use the world [should be] as though they did not make full use of it; for the form of this world is passing away.”
As has been stated, it is not that revival is coming; revival is here! Hearts are stirred up, goals are re-defined, and priorities are re-aligned–all reflecting pre-eminence given to the Lord Jesus Christ. At this point, use of the world is secondary at most. As we see in today’s Gospel reading, “Seek first” (Matthew 6: 33) is not a formula to receive “all these things,” but God’s path of His Kingdom and His righteousness, wherein we find a lack of anxiety … i.e., His peace.
