Saturday, May 4: “The Profundity of Priesthood VII”

Psalm 76: 11:“Make vows to the Lord your God and fulfill them; let all who are around Him bring gifts to Him Who is to be feared.”

After declaring the glories of God, the psalmist Asaph caps off this week’s reflections on the duties of the royal priesthood of believers in concise yet prolific fashion. More than an ideal offertory exhortation, this is a life exhortation to all who have heeded the call to serve the Lord with gladness and daily offer their lives to Him as a freewill gift: the chosen nation, the royal priesthood. May all our gifts be acceptable to Him.
