Sunday, February 16: “Eternal Understanding”

Psalm 19: 7, 8: “The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is clean, enlightening the eyes.”

Where does one who desires a restored soul, wise mind, joyful heart, or enlightened eyes turn? Why is that even a question? For almost three thousand years this psalm of David has been pointing seekers of these things to their proper source: the Word of God. Why do we look for other solutions? Some say the Bible is outdated; out of touch. But look at verse 9—”enduring forever! (see also Psalm 119: 89, 90)
