Thursday, March 14: “A Matter of Perspective V”

Mark 8: 36, 37: “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? For what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”

Numerous artists, including the Beatles, used to sing: “The best things in life are free/But you can give them to the birds and bees/I need money (that's what I want)/Your love gives me such a thrill/But your love don't pay my bills/I need money (that's what I want)/Money don't get everything, it's true/But what it don't get, I can't use/I need money/that's what I want.” That’s their perspective. Jesus comes at it from a somewhat different angle. As Christians, whose approach to life does it behoove us to follow? Hint: it’s not the ones who live in a Yellow Submarine. (Sorry for any unintentional earworms)
